The Architectural Engineering undergraduate program of the United Arab Emirates University is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). ABET accreditation means that the program meets certain, defined standards or criteria to ensure the quality of education and training provided to the students in the program. Accreditation is a voluntary, non-governmental process of peer review to demonstrate and ensure the high quality of the program and its graduates.
The department of architectural engineering was established in 1981. The academic year 1985-1986 witnessed the first graduating class from the department. Our continuous effort to improve, utilizing our past experiences in meeting future challenges, has made the architectural curriculum at UAE University a benchmark program across the region, and has attracted international attentions. Inspired by achievements and experience gained over the past twenty some years, the department's future depends upon our continuous collective effort to develop and improve our professional and educational services in such a way that we will always be ahead of the UAE society's needs and expectations.
